Last Friday was shopping day. Knowing that my refrigerator looked like this…
I decided it was time I clean my refrigerator and organize it to look more like one of this…

1. I first took everything out and cleaned the shelves from floor to ceiling with soap and water.
2. Next I added my slightly opened box of baking soda in the lower corner of the door to help with odor control.
3. I then grouped my condiments in the door by use. Salad condiments. Meat condiments. Bread condiments.
4. I then added my two clear Sterilite containers on the bottom shelves and labeled them “Lunches” and “Snacks.”
I now have a clean refrigerator that is organized and prepared for fresh food. In addition, my hubby and daughter now know where to find their snacks and lunches without my intervention. Aw…the joy.
Now to let you in on a little secret. It should be noted that in creating my labels I did not have the presence of a Cricut or a label maker. Instead I just created some labels on my computer, printed them on copy paper, cut them out, and taped them with Scotch tape. Cheating I know, but since the paper is covered with Scotch tape I know that they will be easy to clean up should they get wet or dirty. All that to say, you don’t have to have any fancy equipment to make your labels look cute!
